The Magong App (official Magic Thousand Character application) enhances your comic experience with interactive and vivid content.
Simply point your device at the book and cards to activate 3D Chinese character magic through the AR function.
Starting from Volume 54, you can collect cards and increase your leader level through promotion training activities triggered by scanning the book!
(For volumes 1-53, only 3D Chinese character magic is available.)

Join forces with your acquired characters to defeat bosses from the Magic Thousand Character universe and earn valuable rewards.

- If image recognition fails, tap the yellow [+] icon in the center to retry.
- Position the device directly facing the image for optimal recognition.
- Reduce lighting reflections by using the app in areas with minimal glare.
- Not all pages are scannable. Please refer to the specified Chinese character magic pages.
▶ Images won't recognize or the app crashes.
- If images aren't recognized, tap the yellow [+] icon to search again.
- The Magong app's AR functionality may cause device heating during extended use.
App overload might occur. Try closing the app briefly and restarting.
▶ First-time app startup takes too long.
- Initial startup requires preparation time to recognize Magic Thousand Character Book images.
- Older smartphones may experience slower performance.
▶ Writing Chinese characters repeatedly when scanning becomes tedious.
- Enable 'Skip after first Chinese character writing' in settings to bypass repetition.
- This skip feature doesn't apply to pages containing two or more Chinese characters.
▶ Animation videos sometimes stop playing.
- Animations stream online, so unstable internet connections may cause interruptions.
- Use the app with stable Wi-Fi connection for optimal performance.
▶ Recorded video volume is too low.
- Videos capture audio from your device's speaker. Increase speaker volume before recording.
▶ Video recording stops automatically.
- Recording limited to 30 seconds maximum before auto-completion.
- Front camera recordings are model-specific and will automatically end when AR models change.
▶ Photos and videos don't appear in smartphone gallery.
- Some devices may delay media scanning, preventing immediate gallery display.
Restart your device to refresh the gallery and view your media.
▶ Are permissions required during app installation?
- Normal app operation requires camera, microphone, and storage permissions.
- Denying permissions will prevent app functionality.
▶ Cannot comment on Plus Friends.
- Plus Friends commenting is a KakaoTalk feature.
- Tap 'Open with App' (top right) or the post image to launch an external browser (Chrome, IE, etc.)
and comment through KakaoTalk.
- The 'Open KakaoTalk App' button cannot execute due to security restrictions.
