Unlike Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter, ArtClash is a unique work-in-progress, crafted with passion by a single developer for his wife and to encourage a community of artists to hone their skills every day.
With ArtClash, you can let your imagination soar with free drawing, or challenge yourself with curated topics and constraints. Whether it's a time limit, color restriction, or a specific canvas size, every drawing you complete can earn you points as others guess what you've created. The app features six levels of difficulty for topics, ranging from single words to complex combinations of nouns, verbs, places, and time periods, ensuring an engaging and dynamic experience for all skill levels.
**Current Features:**
- Paint - Sketch, Paint, and Blend with ease.
- Import images to use as references or paint directly over them.
- Select topics and constraints, draw, and earn points for each correct guess by the community.
- Choose from three constraints for extra points: time, colors, or canvas size.
- Enjoy free drawing and share your creations with others.
- Use the NSFW flag to toggle visibility of mature content.
**Early Access Issues/Bugs:**
- The current UI may not be the most visually appealing as we work through challenges with Unity UI. We plan to transition to XAML for a more responsive and user-friendly interface.
- Performance issues with canvases larger than 1024x1024 on lower-end devices due to the GPU-accelerated brush engine. We're exploring other engines to optimize performance.
**Upcoming Features:**
- New games, starting with a drawing version of "telephone."
- Enhanced social features including avatar customization, commenting on projects, friending, and following others.
- Improved UI and a faster brush engine to address current limitations.
- Marquee selection and transform tools for more precise editing.
- Expansion of brush options with support for user-created and shared brushes.

While ArtClash is not yet a comprehensive image editing suite due to current performance limitations with large textures and the absence of some advanced editing features, it is tailored to foster a vibrant community of artists through social competition and encouragement.
