Duck Hunt is a classic light gun shooter video game.
In Duck Hunt, players aim and shoot at ducks that appear on the screen. The ducks appear individually or in pairs, and players have three shots to take them down before they fly away. Points are awarded for each successful hit. Players advance to the next round by shooting the required number of ducks; failure results in a game over.
The game's difficulty increases with each round, as targets move faster and the minimum number of ducks to hit rises. Players earn points for each target shot and receive a bonus for eliminating all ten ducks in one round. Duck Hunt records the highest score within a single play session, but this score is reset when the game is turned off.
