Gameplay Overview:
The objective of Hearts is to minimize your score by the end of the game. Players must follow suit (e.g., play a Club if a Club is led). If you lack the leading suit, you may play any card, except Hearts or the Queen of Spades on the first trick. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick and leads the next round. Each Heart taken scores 1 point, and the Queen of Spades is worth 13 points. However, a player who "shoots the moon" (taking all Hearts and the Queen of Spades) scores 0 points, while other players each receive 26 points. The game concludes when a player reaches or exceeds 100 points.
