Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game

Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for families and friends. This turn-based game supports up to four players (one, two, or three players are also possible). The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.

Gameplay:

Players take turns playing a card that matches either the suit or rank of the card previously played. If a player doesn't have a matching card, they must draw a card from the deck. Even if a player does have a playable card, they can choose to draw instead.

Special Cards:

• 2: If a player plays a Two, the next player must draw two cards. If that player also has a Two, they can choose to play it (forcing the next player to draw four), and so on, until a player without a Two draws the cumulative total.

• 7: Playing a Seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.

• 10: The player must play again immediately. If a Ten is their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.

• 12: (Three or four-player games only) Playing a Twelve skips the next player's turn.

The game ends when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a Two or Ten), and that player is declared the winner.

Game Components:

Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:

• 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
• 10 Espadas (Syouf)
• 10 Oros (D'hab)
• 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)

Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
