In response to this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.
Through a post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom warned that they will take decisive action against any accounts found engaging in fraudulent ranking activities, including the use of cheating tools or external software. The consequences for such violations could include account suspension or restrictions, such as being barred from receiving rewards from these competitive quests.
Capcom also highlighted that players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face penalties, including invalid quest completion times and the revocation of reward eligibility for the entire party. To safeguard their gaming experience, Capcom urged players to be cautious and avoid playing with individuals suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. They also encouraged reporting any instances of cheating encountered during quests.
The upcoming quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some of these rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the significance of these rewards, Capcom's stringent measures against cheating and fraudulent behavior are understandable and necessary to ensure fairness and integrity in the competition.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission.
