Big news for *Now You See Me* fans: the magic isn’t stopping anytime soon. Not only has *Now You See Me 3* officially been titled *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t*, but a fourth installment is already in development.
The exciting announcement was made during a presentation at CinemaCon by Adam Fogelson, Chair of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. He also confirmed that *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t* remains on schedule for its planned release date of November 14, 2025.
Director Ruben Fleischer has signed on with Lionsgate to develop and direct the fourth film in the popular action-heist series. The franchise has already grossed over $700 million globally, proving its enduring appeal to audiences around the world.
The original two films featured a star-studded cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. For *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t*, a fresh wave of talent joins the series, with Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt stepping into the roles of a new generation of illusionists. Rosamund Pike also stars in a key role.
*Now You See Me: Now You Don’t* reunites Fleischer with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, who previously starred in Fleischer’s breakout hit *Zombieland*. Fleischer recently directed *Uncharted*, which earned over $400 million worldwide, and the blockbuster hit *Venom*, which raked in more than $850 million at the global box office.
Producer Bobby Cohen, who has been instrumental in developing and producing every film in the franchise so far, will return as producer alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will serve as the executive overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer’s work on the franchise, stating: “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film—and we’re thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”
Fleischer expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the series, adding: “Directing *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t* was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things—heist movies and magic—and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”
IGN reviewed the first film with a score of 6.3/10, noting: “*Now You See Me* seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.”
The second film received a slightly lower rating of 6.2/10, with IGN commenting: “*Now You See Me 2* isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance.”
