Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8
Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the immensely popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the acclaimed anime series, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current global popularity, such a collaboration would be a logical and exciting move for Epic Games. Adding to the anticipation, rumors also circulate about a possible Demon Slayer crossover.
The buzz follows Fortnite's recent Winterfest event conclusion and the release of its first major 2025 update. This update introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes, including the ability to use instruments from Fortnite Festival as back blings and pickaxes. A new local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival was also added. These updates coincide with a flurry of speculation regarding upcoming features and crossovers.
Prominent Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, fueled the Kaiju No. 8 rumors on Twitter. Kaiju No. 8, which started as a manga and received an anime adaptation in 2024 (with a second season slated for 2025), follows Kafka Hibino, a young man who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after an unusual encounter. His life intertwines with an organization dedicated to eliminating these monsters. A successful crossover would place Kaiju No. 8 alongside other popular anime franchises already featured in Fortnite, such as Dragon Ball Z.
More Than Just Kaiju No. 8?
Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple sources hint at a potential Demon Slayer crossover. While details remain scarce regarding both anime collaborations, many fans speculate on the possibility of new cosmetics in the Item Shop and even the inclusion of characters from both series within the game's map.
Further leaks suggest the addition of more MonsterVerse characters to join Godzilla, who arrives on January 17th (exclusive to the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass). King Kong and Mechagodzilla are rumored to be next.
With a wealth of new content on the horizon, the Fortnite community eagerly awaits Epic Games' announcements for the remainder of 2025.
