Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, bringing both sweetness and heat to the game. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve it into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. You can find apples in the wild, especially near Mossy Lures, which might also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, look out for wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer chances to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research tasks, available in both free and paid versions, will reward you with Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid version includes extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.
Don’t miss the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. For those who prefer power over cuteness, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei makes its fiery debut. You might even encounter a Shiny Entei if luck is on your side.
Prepare for these events by redeeming Pokémon Go codes for extra benefits.
Event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance to collect them, and higher Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot you visit. Starting April 21st, free Timed Research will be available, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's fiery nature.
Stock up for both events by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store.
