April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

Author : Lucas Update:May 07,2025

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). This announcement was made through a PlayStation.Blog post, highlighting the diversity and appeal of the upcoming games. These titles will be available to subscribers of the PlayStation Plus Essential tier at no extra cost, starting April 1, and will remain accessible until the next set of games is released on May 5.

The April 2025 lineup caters to a broad range of gaming preferences. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, brings players into the gritty world of Alex Murphy as he battles to restore order in a crime-ridden Detroit. This first-person shooter received a significant update last January, introducing a New Game Plus mode, which adds replay value to an already compelling narrative. Our review at launch awarded it a solid 7/10, praising its faithful adaptation of the '80s classic.

For those seeking multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an intense, asymmetrical experience where players can either survive or become part of the Slaughter Family. This game, which aims to replicate the terror of facing Leatherface, was rated 6/10 in our review, noted for its engaging yet technically challenging gameplay.

Lastly, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed pace with its turn-based RPG mechanics. Released in 2018, this game expands the universe of digital monsters, allowing players to encounter and collect over 320 Digimon while exploring a new perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth storyline.

As these titles become available next week, PlayStation Plus subscribers are reminded to also download the March 2025 titles—Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection—before they are removed from the service on March 31. This strong lineup from March offers another compelling reason to ensure you're subscribed and ready to expand your gaming library.
