Fortnite's cosmetic items are highly sought after, with players eagerly anticipating the return of popular skins to the in-game store. Epic Games' rotation system, while generating excitement, also creates lengthy wait times. While some skins, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence), eventually reappear, others remain elusive.
This is particularly true for the Jinx and Vi skins from Arcane. Despite fervent player requests, especially amplified after the second season's release, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill cast doubt on their return. While acknowledging the decision rests with Riot, he indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Although he later expressed willingness to discuss the matter internally, no guarantees were offered.
The likelihood of these skins returning seems slim. While the potential revenue is undeniable, Riot may be hesitant to promote player migration from League of Legends to Fortnite. With League of Legends facing challenges, diverting players due to skin availability is likely undesirable.
While future circumstances could change, it's advisable to temper expectations regarding a Jinx and Vi comeback.
