Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, marking a significant departure from the usual staggered releases of previous titles. This game will launch simultaneously worldwide, and there's no option for early access through additional payments.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, PC players need to take note of different release times depending on the platform. If you're playing via Steam, your release times vary, while Ubi Connect has its own set of times.
Pre-loading is already open for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, so you can get ready to dive in as soon as the game goes live.
The stakes are high for *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* following Ubisoft's recent challenges, including delays, the underwhelming sales of *Star Wars Outlaws*, and a series of high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations.IGN's review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows awarded it an impressive 8/10, praising the game for refining its open-world mechanics: “By sharpening the edges of its existing systems, Assassin’s Creed Shadows creates one of the best versions of the open-world style it’s been honing for the last decade.”
