Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to expand its round-based survival mode Zombies with a fifth new map. A tantalizing sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X (Twitter). The post, dated March 12, 2025, showcases a striking image of a grand mansion, visibly damaged with flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and internal fires.
The caption accompanying the image reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and is tagged with "#Zombies." Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a familiar face in the series who played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to return in this Black Ops 6 remake. This adds a layer of nostalgia and continuity for fans.
Keen observers have noted that the map is set in the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991 as per the teaser image. This timeline aligns seamlessly with the narrative of the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the storyline.

In another exciting twist, Treyarch confirmed on their Instagram account that the new map will not feature Amalgam enemies. When a user expressed their anticipation to "feel the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers responded with a firm "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, being absent from this map could offer players a smoother and less daunting experience.
