Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration
Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.
Following Blizzard's decision to forgo BlizzCon in 2024 and instead participate in events like Gamescom and launch its inaugural Warcraft Direct, the World Tour offers a new format for fan engagement. This series of intimate gatherings celebrates significant Warcraft milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's debut.
The tour kicks off in London on February 22nd, making stops in Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, Sao Paulo, and culminating in Boston during PAX East on May 10th.
Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:
- February 22 – London, United Kingdom
- March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
- March 15 – Toronto, Canada
- April 3 – Sydney, Australia
- April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
- May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)
While details remain scarce, the events are expected to prioritize fan experience and interaction, focusing on creating lasting memories rather than major announcements.
Ticket Information:
Tickets will not be sold. Blizzard describes these as "intimate gatherings" with free, extremely limited tickets. Information on how to obtain tickets will be released through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their local Warcraft communities for updates.
The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A late summer or early autumn BlizzCon could serve as a platform to showcase content from the upcoming World of Warcraft Midnight expansion, including the anticipated player housing feature. However, Blizzard's silence regarding future BlizzCons after skipping 2024 suggests a potential shift to a biannual schedule. Regardless, securing a spot at the Warcraft World Tour is highly recommended for a unique and memorable experience.
