The Blood of Dawnwalker: A Dark Fantasy RPG Unveiled
The recent game reveal event for The Blood of Dawnwalker shed light on this upcoming open-world, dark fantasy action-RPG. Dive into the captivating world of Vale Sangora and experience a narrative-driven adventure.

Meet Coen, the Dawnwalker
Players embody Coen, a Dawnwalker—a unique being existing between human and vampire—in a fictional 14th-century European setting. Unlike typical protagonists, Coen is portrayed as emotionally vulnerable and relatable. He faces Brencis, an ancient vampire who controls Vale Sangora, and must save his family within a 30-day/night timeframe (though the game's time flow is not strictly 1:1 with real-time). Coen possesses superhuman abilities, including enhanced agility and limited magical powers.

The developers, Rebel Wolves (comprised of former CD Projekt Red staff), clarified several fan questions on their Discord server. Dawnwalkers are not simply hybrids but a distinct entity. Magic in the game is grounded in the occult, focusing on rituals, amulets, and summonings, rather than flamboyant spells.
A Narrative Sandbox with Choices and Consequences

While Coen's primary goal is saving his family, The Blood of Dawnwalker offers a narrative sandbox experience. Players have significant agency, with multiple paths to achieve objectives. The game is non-linear, and the world dynamically reacts to player choices. To maintain this immersive single-player experience, there will be no multiplayer or co-op modes. However, the journey won't be solitary; romanceable characters from various races (including uriashi, kobolds, and potentially werewolves) will populate Coen's path.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, though a specific release date remains unannounced.
