The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding yet challenging tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide outlines the process.

Week 2's challenges require raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher. The subsequent task – repairing a broken object – lacks clear instructions. The simplest solution is to intentionally break an item.
While using the "prank" interaction is an option, it requires specific Sim traits. A more straightforward method is repeatedly using an item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet, being inexpensive, is ideal for this purpose. Repeated use (around a dozen times) will cause it to malfunction. This can be achieved by your Sim or invited guests.
Once the toilet is broken, and your Sim's Handiness is at level 2, simply select the "Repair" interaction. After a short time, the repair is complete, fulfilling the Blast from the Past challenge.
