While *Marvel Rivals* delivers an exciting and immersive hero shooter experience, it’s not immune to players who exploit the system. To help maintain fair play, NetEase Games has equipped its community with reporting tools—allowing users to flag suspicious behavior. Recently, a new term has appeared in the reporting menu that’s left many players puzzled: “Bussing.” Here’s everything you need to know about what Bussing means in *Marvel Rivals* and how to identify it.
What Is Bussing in Marvel Rivals?

When you open the report menu in *Marvel Rivals*, you’ll find several familiar categories like “Throwing” and “Griefing.” The latest addition, however, is “Bussing”—a term that initially confused many players. It’s not related to in-game noise complaints or microphone etiquette. Instead, it refers to a specific type of unethical gameplay behavior.
This confusion led one player, Kaimega13, to reach out to the game’s developers via Reddit. The response from *Marvel Rivals* clarified the definition (as reported by Dexerto): “‘Bussing’ typically refers to players intentionally teaming up with cheaters to boost their game rankings. If you notice any related anomalies, you can report the player by selecting the option.”
Now that we’ve cleared that up, it’s important to understand how to recognize this behavior so you can report it effectively.
How To Catch Bussing in Marvel Rivals
Detecting a group of cheaters in *Marvel Rivals* isn’t always difficult. After watching a few killcams, you might start noticing red flags—like unnaturally accurate shots or movement patterns that seem superhuman. However, not everyone on a suspicious team may be guilty of cheating.
To catch a case of Bussing, you may need to stay in the match longer than usual. Observe the enemy team closely. Do certain players seem to always know where you are? Are they dodging attacks too easily or landing impossible shots? If so, there’s a chance you’re dealing with someone involved in Bussing.
That said, not every player on a suspicious team is necessarily a cheater. Some may have simply been matched into a game with others who are. Before hitting the report button, consider gathering enough evidence. Use in-game chat to interact and assess whether the player is genuinely unaware of the cheating happening around them.
By staying alert and using the Bussing report option responsibly, you contribute to a fairer gaming environment for all *Marvel Rivals* players.
