Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat with the return of some iconic characters from the 2016 edition.
Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?
The pack brings back the beloved characters: Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This update focuses solely on these characters, allowing you to integrate them into any scenario you choose, without being restricted to specific crime scenes or case files. This gives you the freedom to select your nostalgic favorite and mix them with the newer 2023 cast for an exciting blend of old and new.
Fans of the 2016 version have been eagerly awaiting the return of these characters, especially after the introduction of the more modern 2023 cast. It's great to see that Marmalade Game Studio has listened to the community's feedback and delivered this much-requested pack.
There’s More Coming to the Game!
In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode called the Retro Rules Set, which reverts to the original 1949 rules. Best of all, this mode is available at no extra cost.
The Retro Rules Set reintroduces classic mechanics that alter gameplay, such as starting tokens at designated spots on the board, with Miss Scarlet always taking the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard steps in. Accusations can only be made while in a room, and Clue Cards are omitted from this mode. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players.
