Avowed's treasure maps offer valuable rewards, but finding them requires some sleuthing. This guide focuses on the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map, one of the earliest you'll encounter.
Acquiring the Map
Upon reaching the Living Lands and interacting with Garryck and Ilora (optional), you'll find a merchant trio. Lynna, one of the merchants, sells the "Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece" for 115 gold. Purchase the map; it will be added to your Journal's Documents section under Paradis. The map's intriguing lore hints at its contents: a codpiece with a rather unique history.
Locating the Treasure
The treasure is located east of Paradis and north of the Southern Embrace, near the Gods' Gate Beacon. Avoid direct confrontation with the Yellowband Camp unless you're adequately leveled. Circumvent the camp's southern and eastern edges. At a road fork, take the right path.
You'll discover a boarded-up area. Break down the boards to reveal a chest on your left.
Rewards
The chest contains the Stelgaer's Pride armor, along with additional loot: Golden Scelling (6), Silver Fenning (8), a Common Arquebus, Bear Claw, Pelt (2), and Softwood Branch (2).
