Could this really be happening? Or is it just an elaborate prank? Comedy fans might want to brace themselves — Office alum Craig Robinson, a longtime fixture in the comedy world, has announced he's making a dramatic career shift: leaving comedy behind to pursue "something huge."
"Life update: I'm officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling," Robinson revealed in an Instagram video post last week. "Stay tuned. I'm working on something huge."
The selfie-style video provided some context but left fans guessing about his next move. "Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy," the actor said in the clip. "But not for nothing. It's been an amazing run, and y'all have been incredible, but I'm chasing something bigger. So, thank you all—I love you, and stay tuned."
Fans flooded the comments with shock, disappointment, and plenty of skepticism—which might be fair, given Robinson's comedic background. After all, this could easily be an elaborate joke or maybe even a clever promotional tactic.
Adding to the intrigue, Robinson later shared a follow-up post suggesting he might be launching a small business. "Turns out having a dream and actually building a business with friends are VERY different things," he wrote. "Can't share details yet, but seriously—any advice would be huge."
As for what this *actually* means? Right now, nobody knows for sure. But we’re definitely intrigued.
Robinson is best known for his role as warehouse foreman Darryl Philbin in 118 episodes of *The Office*, but he’s also recognized for his work in *Mr. Robot*, *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, and *The Bad Guys*.
