While stated pre-release by Gunn, the first season of Peacemaker (excluding the Zack Snyder's Justice League cameo) remains canon. References to Peacemaker events are made by John Economos (Amanda Waller's aide and ARGUS agent), who appears in the animated series. Peacemaker himself also makes an appearance. The Suicide Squad's canonicity is also established in the first episode.

Themyscira, Bloodhaven, Star City, Gotham, and Metropolis

The series features locations integral to the DC universe: Cerci originates from Themyscira (Wonder Woman's home); Dr. Phosphorus operated in Gotham; the Galaxy Broadcasting System (GBS), a Metropolis-based news outlet employing Clark Kent and Lois Lane, is referenced; and Dr. Phosphorus's wife hails from Bialia (home of the Scarab that empowered Blue Beetle). Further connections include a soldier mentioning service with Rick Flag Sr. in Jharkhanpur (home of villain Ram Khan); Bloodhaven (Nightwing's location); and Star City (Green Arrow's city) as Mermaid's origin point.

Sgt. Rock and Easy Company

Episode 3 reveals G.I. Robot's WWII service alongside Sgt. Rock and Easy Company. Sgt. Rock, a popular non-superhero soldier from the 1959 comic Our Army at War, makes frequent cameo appearances across various DC media. Daniel Craig is rumored for a film portrayal, with Maury Sterling voicing him in the series.

Dr. Will Magnus
