Crunchyroll's mobile port of the rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, is now available on Android! Previously released on PC and with fleeting appearances on iOS and Android, this enhanced version, simply titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer," boasts a wealth of new content.
What is Crypt of the NecroDancer?
This beat-matching adventure casts you as Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a rhythmically-challenging crypt. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique. Fifteen playable characters, each with distinct styles, add replayability. Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack provides the pulse, demanding precise movement and attacks synchronized to the music. Fail to keep the beat, and you're defeated! Expect a diverse cast of enemies, from dancing skeletons to hip-hop dragons.
More Than Just a Port
This mobile release isn't just a simple port. Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have included remixes, additional content, and even crossover skins featuring characters from Danganronpa. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. Further, DLC featuring Hatsune Miku and the Synchrony expansion is slated for later this year.
Available now on the Google Play Store for Crunchyroll subscribers, Crypt of the NecroDancer offers a compelling blend of rhythm and roguelike gameplay. Check it out! Also, stay tuned for news on the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
