Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, ushering in the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month, we're also celebrating the powerful women of the game, giving players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the latest Champions joining The Contest, each bringing their unique abilities and a compelling new storyline. You can recruit Jean Grey to your team starting March 13th, and Bastion will be available from March 27th. Before their arrival, the Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, where Jean Grey and the X-Men will face off against dangerous variants in a thrilling new quest.
The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions will further expand with the introduction of more Eidols, continuing the Founders storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three additional Eidols will be introduced throughout 2025, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, makes its debut on March 5th and will be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, is a master infiltrator with capabilities for spying, sabotage, and precise assassination. Composed of ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix harnesses exceptional light manipulation abilities. Despite its dazzling appearance, it is a ruthless weapon crafted to eliminate threats while remaining undetected.

March also marks a celebration of the formidable women in The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can participate in Solo Objectives and Realm Events to decide which Champion will receive a rework in 2025.
