Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game expanding on their popular Dead or Alive fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, a special "global version" will be available in Asia, featuring English text support. The game offers mini-games, character customization, and a vibrant tropical island setting. Developers promise diverse ways to build relationships with the heroines and become fully immersed in the romantic narrative.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, providing a unique gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature style.
However, even this venture has its limitations, as highlighted by the ongoing battle against fan-created content. Koei Tecmo annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images featuring the game's characters.
The Dead or Alive series is known for its gameplay and its attractive female characters, often depicted in swimwear during combat. This has led to a significant amount of "adult" fan-created content, a trend the developers actively combat despite their appreciation for fan art.
