The new experience, named Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet, merges the thrilling sci-fi universe of Destiny 2 with Rec Room's engaging, community-focused environment.
Destiny 2, an FPS MMO developed by Bungie and launched in 2017, casts you in the role of a guardian endowed with elemental powers. Your mission is to safeguard humanity as you venture across the solar system. Since its debut, the game has evolved through annual expansions and quarterly seasons, with the latest season, The Final Shape, launching this month.
Starting July 11th, Rec Room users can explore a meticulously crafted replica of the Destiny Tower, a landmark location from the game. This immersive experience is available across multiple platforms including console, PC, VR, and mobile. As you navigate the tower, you'll train to become a Guardian, embarking on epic quests and connecting with fellow Destiny 2 enthusiasts.
Alongside the adventure, you can enhance your avatar with cosmetics inspired by Destiny 2's three classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. The Hunter set and corresponding weapon skins are available now, while the Titan and Warlock sets will roll out in the coming weeks.
