How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to journey to the Omi region, which you'll reach around the midpoint of the game's story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powered up before heading northeast to Omi.
Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. To reach the cat island, it's advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim across the lake, though a boat is recommended for ease and speed.
Navigate to the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of fish drying near the docks hints at the abundance of food for a particular type of animal.
To immerse yourself in the feline paradise on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these charming creatures to your collection for use in the Hideout, especially the elusive rare kittens.
While Leaps of Faith typically unlock new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of your new feline friends. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the cats' company. You'll also revisit Okishima later in Yasuke’s storyline, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.
