Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant hurdle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and continue your adventure.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken sections. Several options exist to traverse this perilous route:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleporting of party members across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable individual teleporting, though not all companions possess these.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, then the rest teleport using the pyramids.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap!
-
With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He can then unlock the waypoint for the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: Use at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry, perishes, and is then resurrected using a Teleporter Pyramid and a resurrection spell or scroll by the remaining party. This method is less efficient than the bridge.
Important Note: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3750 XP. If you don't have Fane, the bridge is the recommended approach.
