- DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation features will not be exclusive to RTX 50 series.
At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nvidia unveiled exciting news for gamers and tech enthusiasts alike. The company announced that 75 games will support DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, a feature exclusive to the upcoming RTX 50 series of graphics cards. This technology promises to significantly enhance gaming performance, particularly in titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Cyberpunk 2077, and Marvel Rivals, once the RTX 50 GPUs are released.
The next generation of Nvidia GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, will build on the foundation laid by the current Ada Lovelace lineup. These new GPUs will introduce enhancements to Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology and debut Multi-Frame Generation, which is expected to increase frame rates (FPS) more effectively than the existing Frame Generation technology. The flagship model of the Blackwell series, the RTX 5090, will come equipped with 32GB of GDDR7 video memory and a starting MSRP of $1,999. Other models in the series, including the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070, will have starting prices of $999, $749, and $549, respectively.
Nvidia highlighted the potential of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation, stating that 75 games and applications will support these features right from the launch of the RTX 50 GPUs. For instance, in Cyberpunk 2077, Nvidia demonstrated that with DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation disabled and full ray tracing enabled, the game would run below 30 FPS on the RTX 5090. However, activating these features boosted the frame rate to an impressive 236 FPS on the flagship Blackwell GPU.

While Nvidia did not specify an exact release date for the RTX 50 series in January, they did clarify that some enhancements of DLSS 4 will not be exclusive to the RTX 50 GPUs. Older cards in the RTX 40 series will also benefit from improved DLSS features such as Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) through future Nvidia GeForce driver updates, available via the Nvidia app or their website.
Additionally, upcoming titles like Doom: The Dark Ages will incorporate Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction upon their release. This development ensures that PC gamers considering an upgrade to the RTX 50 lineup will have a wealth of new features to explore and enjoy.
