Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based on the Forgotten Realms setting, according to Deadline. The project is a major undertaking for Netflix, described as one of their largest fantasy TV bets. Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine), alongside writer-showrunner Drew Crevello (WeCrashed) and Hasbro, are behind the adaptation. Crevello penned the pilot episode. While Netflix and Hasbro haven't officially commented, the series is reportedly moving forward after extensive negotiations. Success could potentially launch a larger D&D universe on the platform.
