
Techland Delays Dying Light: The Beast Release
Techland has announced a four-week delay for Dying Light: The Beast, pushing its launch to September 19, 2025. The highly anticipated zombie-slaying adventure featuring Kyle Crane will now arrive later than its original August 21 release date.
Developer Explains Delay Decision
In an official blog post, Techland stated: "Our commitment has always been to deliver the finest Dying Light experience yet. To honor this promise, we've moved the release date to ensure we can deliver additional polish."
"While we recognize this news may disappoint fans, we've learned firsthand how crucial first impressions are," the Polish developer continued. "These extra four weeks will allow us to elevate the game from great to exceptional by focusing on final gameplay balancing, UI clarity improvements, physics refinements, and additional cutscene/animation tweaks."
Upcoming Reveals and Demo
The studio confirmed players will get hands-on experience with The Beast via a public demo at gamescom 2024. Additional development updates are scheduled next week, including a deep dive into the game's enhanced gore system.
