EA Sports UFC 5 Receives January 9th Update: New Fighter and Bug Fixes
EA Vancouver has dropped Patch 1.18 for EA Sports UFC 5, launching January 9th at 1 PM ET on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This update introduces undefeated Light Heavyweight Azamat Murzakanov, boasting impressive stats (97 Power Punch, 95 Accuracy, 94 Ground Striking), and three undisclosed alter egos.
The update also addresses several issues: a stamina cost reduction for the muscle modifier (from 3.125x to 2.5x), corrected language translations, and a fix for a Ranked Championship Stand and Bang match result display bug. Additionally, Stipe and Jones portraits have been updated to reflect their updated gloves. New vanity rewards and a "Sort by Release Series" option in the More Offers Store are also included.
This follows the October 2023 release of EA Sports UFC 5, which initially faced criticism for its fighter roster. EA Vancouver's commitment to expanding the roster continues, with the game now at 98% parity with the current UFC top ten rankings.
Furthermore, Microsoft announced that EA Sports UFC 5 will be added to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier (via EA Play) starting January 14th.
