After its initial announcement in June 2020 and subsequent teasers, skate. is now available for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox! Although there's no confirmed date yet for the PC beta, fans can register as an Insider to stay updated.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been ongoing since at least December, with some highlights dating back to September. Full Circle, the developer, continues to invite fans to sign up as development progresses.
To participate in the beta and experience the game early, interested players should visit EA's official website and navigate to the Skate page to register for Skate Insider Playtesting. Not only will Insiders get early access to the game, but they'll also receive exclusive rewards like an in-game skateboard and stickers when skate. launches in Early Access.
skate. is scheduled for an Early Access release in 2025. This latest installment in the franchise arrives nearly a decade after Skate 3 and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, skate. is designed to be a free-to-play, live-service game that promises an "authentic evolution" of the series, as highlighted by Full Circle in a previous YouTube interview.
