Escape Academy is the Epic Games Store's free game offering for January 16th, 2025. This escape-room-style puzzle game, developed by Coin Crew Games, is the fourth free title offered by the EGS in 2025 and boasts the highest OpenCritic score of any EGS freebie so far this year.
Epic Games Store users have a full week, until January 23rd, to claim Escape Academy. Originally released in July 2022 for PC and consoles, the game challenges players to train as "escape room masters" within the Academy.
This isn't Escape Academy's first appearance as a free EGS title; it was previously offered as a mystery game on January 1st, 2024. However, this giveaway marks the first time it's been available for a full week. The timing is particularly beneficial for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as the game is leaving the service on January 15th after an 18-month run.
