This isn't Arita's first foray into Magic; he previously created a borderless Lumra, Bellow of the Woods for the 2024 Bloomburrow set. This new Secret Lair, however, represents a significant expansion of his work, featuring four cards with diverse playability across various formats. The inclusion of Lightning Bolt, a staple in nearly every format, Murktide Regent (a powerhouse in Modern and Legacy), Light-Paws (a popular Commander), and Shorikai (a Vintage Cube and Commander favorite) ensures broad appeal.
Wizards of the Coast highlights Arita's extensive experience in trading card game art, noting his previous collaboration's success and describing this Secret Lair as a showcase of his iconic creature designs across these four remarkable cards.
This Secret Lair will be available on the Secret Lair website starting Monday, February 10th at 9 am PT. Non-foil versions will cost $29.99, while foil versions are priced at $39.99. Both versions are available while supplies last.
