In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Hans's main quest, "For Whom the Bell Tolls," requires crafting a Fever Tonic to help someone at Trosky Castle. Here's how:
Locating the Fever Tonic Recipe:

The recipe is found within the Surgeon's Workshop in Trosky Castle. Access can be gained through stealth or by convincing the Chamberlain you can create a digestive potion for him. If you choose the latter, complete the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" objectives up to delivering the horseshoe. Then, speak with Cook Fanka at the forge, offering to help with her locked chest. This leads you to the noble's kitchen and the ailing Chamberlain. Successfully completing skill checks will grant you access to the workshop. If your skill checks fail, steal food, leave the kitchen, and use another entrance to access the kitchen (a guard will be present; give him the stolen food to proceed). Sneak upstairs to find the workshop.

Once inside the workshop, locate the Physician's journal on the bookshelf, read the Fever Tonic recipe, and use the workstation to brew the potion.
Brewing the Fever Tonic:

The necessary herbs are already at the surgeon's station. Follow these steps:
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add 3 handfuls of Feverfew.
- Lower the cauldron and boil for 2 turns of the sandglass.
- Grind a handful of Elderberry Leaves using the mortar and pestle.
- Add the ground Elderberry Leaves.
- Add 2 handfuls of Ginger.
- Take a phial from the bottom-left shelf.
- Distill the tonic using the Still. Multiple attempts may be necessary.
Completing the Quest:
After brewing the Fever Tonic, deliver it to Thomas. If you gained the Chamberlain's trust by creating a digestive potion, return with both potions. Otherwise, use the noble's kitchen to sneak to the chapel and find Thomas and his sister, Adele. Speak with Adele to conclude the quest.
