In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, food poisoning is a serious threat. This guide explains how to cure it and how to prevent it.
Curing Food Poisoning:
The only cure for food poisoning is a digestive potion. You can either purchase one from an apothecary (those in Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, and the Nomads’ Camp are reliable sources) or brew your own.
To brew a digestive potion, you'll need the recipe (available from apothecaries), two thistles, two nettles, water, and one charcoal. The process is:
- Boil two thistles in water for two cycles.
- Grind the nettles and add them to the cauldron, boiling for one cycle.
- Grind the charcoal and add it.
- Pour the finished potion.
Note: Bozhena's hut offers a peaceful alchemy station; using others may anger shopkeepers.
Preventing Food Poisoning:
The best way to avoid food poisoning is to only consume fresh food. Check the "Freshness" meter in your inventory; red indicates a risk of food poisoning. Only eat items with a white "Freshness" level. Consider perks that slow food spoilage, or preserve food by cooking or drying.
