The holiday break is behind us, and it's time to dive back into the exciting world of gaming news! While we're all eagerly anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's spotlight shines on another fan favorite: the Like a Dragon series. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled fresh gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed adventures in Hawaii.
The newly released video highlighted a range of features, including extensive ship customization, expansive open-sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse locations ripe for discovery. A key element is Goro Majima's dual combat styles: a nimble, speed-oriented approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.
Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing their skills to combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises to reward exploration with hidden islands and original side quests.
In a welcome surprise, the developers announced that the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a significant departure from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth release, where this mode was exclusive to the premium edition, a decision that drew considerable criticism from SEGA. This positive change means players can look forward to enjoying this extra content just a month and a half after the game's official launch.
