People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. A report from People Can Fly details the agreement, classifying Project Delta as a work-for-hire title. Further details about the project remain undisclosed.
This new project joins a substantial portfolio of games currently in development at People Can Fly. These include Project Gemini (with Square Enix, which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo (with Krafton), Project Red (also seemingly with Sony), and the recently announced final VR project, Project Bison.
The studio recently announced the suspension of Project Victoria and scaled back development on Project Bifrost. In April, they cancelled Project Dagger, an action-adventure title planned in collaboration with Take-Two Interactive.
Despite these changes, People Can Fly is actively working on eight known projects, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix partnership, was last reported to be targeting a 2026 release.
