This marks a thrilling crossover between Hearthstone and Blizzard's acclaimed real-time strategy game, StarCraft. The 49 cards are distributed as follows: three cards per Hearthstone class, five faction-specific cards per StarCraft race (one of which is a Legendary), and one neutral Legendary card, Grunty. A selection of cards has already been showcased, with further reveals planned throughout the week leading up to the launch.

The Zerg cards, playable with Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock classes, focus on summoning large numbers of Zerglings and leveraging Hydralisks for damage based on swarm size. Protoss cards, designed for Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue, emphasize temporary and permanent mana manipulation to facilitate the deployment of powerful cards like the Carrier. Finally, Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior classes gain access to enhanced Starship mechanics from Hearthstone's The Great Dark Beyond set, including new Starship Pieces and strategies for deploying multiple Starships, even introducing a Mech-type Starship.
The expanded size of the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set reflects in its pricing. While obtainable through The Great Dark Beyond packs, players can purchase the full set for $20 (or 2500 gold), a slight increase compared to previous Mini-Sets.
