If you've been keeping up with the Pocket Gamer team's weekly Wrapps, you're probably aware of my recent deep dive into Hearthstone. However, I'll soon be playing catch-up with the game's latest update. The "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion is set to shake things up with the addition of 145 new cards starting March 25th, promising to revamp strategies and combat tactics.
Alongside these cards, players will encounter new Keywords to master: Imbue for Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman, and Dark Gifts for Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. I'm still wrapping my head around how these will influence the battle dynamics, but it's clear they'll impact the meta significantly, especially with the expanded Choose One keyword. Every class will receive a Choose One card, offering two modes to select from during battle, adding a layer of strategic depth.
Adding to the excitement is the introduction of a new Legendary minion, Ysera, Emerald Aspect, which is sure to stir the pot and challenge players as they face off against newly crafted decks.
