HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing its previous high set at launch in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update maintained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update trend. Unlike the usual decline in spending a week after updates, Zenless Zone Zero sustained daily revenue above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and remained above $500,000 even two weeks later.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
