The GeForce RTX 5070 is an outstanding GPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming
In terms of performance, the RTX 5070 is comparable to the previous generation's RTX 4070 Super. While the generational leap in raw power isn't as significant as some might hope, the RTX 4070 Super was already a top-tier card for both 1080p and 1440p gaming. Since the RTX 4070 Super has been discontinued and is primarily found on the used market, the RTX 5070 becomes a compelling new option. It also introduces support for DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which significantly boosts performance in supported titles like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and the upcoming Borderlands 4 and Battlefield 6.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 presents a mixed bag. It delivers on its core promise of smooth 1440p gaming at high frame rates. However, it doesn't always outperform the RTX 4070 Super or other competing cards in its price bracket. The addition of Multi Frame Generation is a welcome feature for gamers with high-refresh-rate monitors, though this alone may not justify an upgrade from the previous generation."
