Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the diverse activities available within the game's villages. Players, taking on the role of Henry, will engage in a range of activities, from simple tasks like herding sheep and drinking, to more complex interactions such as hunting, using ranged weapons (crossbow and bow), praying, and assisting villagers with their problems – even finding antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced unexpected challenges. Following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, activists launched a campaign to cancel the project. Figures like Grummz and other self-described "agenda-driven" campaigners have amplified this controversy.
The controversy intensified after news of a Saudi Arabian ban on KCD 2 circulated online, fueling rumors about the game's content and the inclusion of "progressive" elements. This sparked a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls to cancel the game and discourage further funding.
In response to the escalating situation, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to avoid unverified information circulating online.
