A few months ago, LEGO Ideas invited fans to submit their own designs for sets that celebrate the 1990s. The winner of the "Build Your Nostalgia" contest has now been revealed: a large, ambitiously detailed model inspired by the beloved sci-fi series The X-Files. This winning design will now move into development with the LEGO Ideas team, where it will likely undergo some refinements before becoming an official set, expected to launch at a future date.
An Official X-Files LEGO Set Is Coming

Named The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There, this set was designed by a creator known as WetWired. It features a dual-vignette layout, with a forest UFO scene on the top level and Mulder's iconic basement office below. The proposed set consists of approximately 2,020 pieces and comes with seven distinct minifigures.

Alongside the "Build Your Nostalgia" competition, LEGO Ideas also ran a second '90s-themed contest for a more compact set. The winner of this "Next Chapter" challenge is a model based on the stop-motion classic Wallace & Gromit, designed by Pidelium.
