Nintendo's upcoming title, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, promises a fresh take on the beloved franchise. A recent ESRB rating reveals a key detail: players will control both Zelda and Link!
Zelda Takes Center Stage (With Link's Assistance)
The ESRB listing confirms the game's E 10+ rating and the absence of microtransactions. It highlights Zelda's role in quelling rifts across Hyrule and rescuing Link. While Zelda utilizes a magic wand to summon creatures for combat (including wind-up knights, pig soldiers, and slime), Link employs his classic sword and arrows. Combat features include burning enemies and enemies dissolving into mist upon defeat.
This marks a significant milestone: the first Zelda-centric game in the series. Unsurprisingly, Echoes of Wisdom has quickly become a highly anticipated title since its summer showcase reveal.
Link's Role Remains Mysterious
The extent of Link's playable segments remains undisclosed. Fans will have to wait until the September 26, 2024 release to discover the full scope of his involvement.
