Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the upcoming installment in the Madden NFL series, marking a significant shift as the franchise makes its full transition to the current-generation consoles. Madden NFL 26 is set to launch on August 14, 2025, with a three-day early access period for Deluxe Edition pre-orders beginning on August 11. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC through the EA app for Windows, Steam, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
This marks the first time the Madden series will appear on Nintendo's hybrid console, expanding its reach while signaling the end of support for the previous generation of platforms. Neither the PlayStation 4 nor Xbox One will host Madden NFL 26, as the series fully embraces the capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
Multiple pre-order options are available, offering various incentives for fans. A loyalty program is in place for players of Madden NFL 25, 24, or 23, providing a 10% discount and a 99 OVR Player Pack for Madden NFL 25 Ultimate Team. Additionally, the MVP Bundle combines the Deluxe Editions of Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26 into a single package.
