Marvel Rivals Season 1: Free Skins, New Characters, and More!
NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a generous surprise: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! Dracula's attack on New York City, following a Doctor Strange mishap, sets the stage for the Fantastic Four to take center stage. The season runs from January 10th to April 11th, 2025.
This season introduces the Fantastic Four to the game's roster. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are available at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving in a mid-season update. Leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist and The Thing a Vanguard class character.
Players can obtain the free Peni Parker (Blue Tarantula skin) and Scarlet Witch (Emporium Matron skin) cosmetics by completing in-game quests and earning Chrono Tokens. While the full battle pass costs 990 Lattice (approximately $10), these skins are accessible without purchasing the premium version. Peni Parker's skin is located on page three of the battle pass, featuring a striking sky blue and white design. Scarlet Witch's skin, found on page nine, boasts a crimson and purple aesthetic with a unique cosmic animation. A free Scarlet Witch emote is also available, but the MVP animation requires the premium battle pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin through quest completion.
Beyond the free rewards, the in-game shop offers new villainous skins for Invisible Woman (Malice) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker). Invisible Woman's skin is a striking black and red, while Mister Fantastic's is a sleek dark gray with blue accents. The abundance of new content has generated significant excitement among Marvel Rivals players.
