Marvel Snap Deck Guide: September 2024 Edition

This month's Marvel Snap meta is surprisingly balanced, but the new season and cards are poised to shake things up. While many Young Avengers cards haven't significantly impacted the meta, the new Amazing Spider-Season and Activate ability are game-changers. Expect a dramatically different meta next month.
This guide features five top-tier decks (assuming a complete card collection) and two more accessible, fun options. Remember, deck effectiveness fluctuates, so continuous adaptation is key.
Top-Tier Decks:
Kazar and Gilgamesh

Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird
This surprisingly strong deck utilizes low-cost cards buffed by Kazar and Blue Marvel. Marvel Boy provides additional buffs, while Gilgamesh thrives in this high-buff environment. Kate Bishop offers flexibility and cost reduction for Mockingbird.
Silver Surfer Still Never Dies, Part II

Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool
The enduring Silver Surfer deck receives minor adjustments. Nova/Killmonger provide early boosts, Forge enhances Brood's clones, Gwenpool buffs hand cards, Shaw scales with buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova steals opponent's power, and Surfer/Absorbing Man secure victory. Copycat replaces Red Guardian as a versatile tool.
Spectrum and Man-Thing Ongoing

Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum
The Ongoing archetype remains competitive. Spectrum provides a powerful end-game buff to Ongoing cards. The Luke Cage/Man-Thing combo is particularly effective, with Luke protecting cards from US Agent. Cosmo's utility is expected to increase.
Discard Dracula

Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse
A classic Apocalypse-style Discard deck, featuring the buffed Moon Knight. Morbius and Dracula are the key cards, aiming for a final turn Apocalypse/Dracula combo. The Collector can provide unexpected value.
Destroy

Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death
The Destroy deck remains largely unchanged, with Attuma benefiting from a recent buff. The strategy focuses on destroying Deadpool and Wolverine, utilizing X-23 for extra energy, and finishing with Nimrod or Knull.
Fun & Accessible Decks:
Darkhawk Is Back (Did He Ever Leave?)

Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature
A fun deck built around Darkhawk, featuring Korg and Rockslide to manipulate the opponent's deck, along with disruptive cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova.
Budget Kazar

Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught
A more accessible version of the Kazar deck, ideal for newer players. While less consistent than the top-tier version, it provides valuable experience with the core combo.
The meta is dynamic. The new Activate ability and Symbiote Spider-Man will significantly impact the game. Keep an eye out for balance changes and adapt your strategies accordingly. Happy Snapping!
