During your investigation, visit the bathhouse and speak with the Bathhouse Madam first, followed by Adam. Adam will inform you that Goatskin is the one who stole Master Schindel's items.
After these conversations, your next task is to find Goatskin. Known for his timidity, you'll need to coax him out. You have the option to talk to Lousy Mary or follow Udo. I suggest speaking with Udo, who frequents the bathhouse's first floor in the evening. Instruct him to leave, then tail him discreetly. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, providing you the perfect opportunity to confront him.

In addition to gathering information about Liechtenstein, you can also try to acquire a map from Goatskin. If you fail the skill check, you'll need to bribe him. He'll then direct you to the Map of Kuttenberg Underground, which you can find on a body at the Kuttenberg gallows on the city's southeastern side.
Retrieve the map from the hanging corpse. With the map in hand, you can attempt to navigate the underground area, though it's notoriously difficult and easy to get lost.

With the stolen items in your possession, retrace your steps to exit the underground. Master Schindel is typically found on the northeastern side of the city during the day. Approach him to complete the side quest. Initially, he might seem irritable, but returning his items will soften his demeanor. Engage further with him to learn about the astrolabe and planetary mechanics.
