Curious about the new Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons let you craft unique pieces tailored to your desired stats and elements, making them a game-changer in the late stages of your journey. Let's dive deep into everything you need to know about crafting and acquiring these powerful tools.
How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds
Unlocking the Artian weapon crafting feature is your first step. To do this, you must complete the main story and reach High Rank. After that, you'll need to defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize it by the NPCs' comments about its toughness and numerous scars, but we won't spoil which monster it is.
Once you've vanquished this formidable foe, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that explains everything. Gemma can now craft these weapons, which require three components per weapon type. Each component comes with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, you'll need components with the same rarity value.
The elemental effect of your weapon depends on the majority element among your components. For instance, using two water and one lightning component results in a water weapon. Use three water components for a stronger water infusion, but if you mix three different elements, your weapon won't have any elemental infusion.
The Artian bonus offers either an attack boost, enhancing your weapon's damage output, or an affinity boost, increasing your critical hit chance. Your choice depends on your playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need Artian materials.
How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds
Obtaining Artian materials involves hunting Tempered monsters in High Rank. After defeating your first Tempered monster, one or two will start appearing in each area, marked by a blue outline on the map. You'll receive notifications about their presence.
Defeating or capturing these Tempered monsters will yield Artian parts, which you can find among your main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, so does the rarity of these parts, naturally progressing alongside your journey. While there's no direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the specific Artian drops, feel free to hunt the monsters you enjoy or need parts from for other gear.
